Jeju Olle (Walking) Festival
The Jeju Olle Walking Festival is an annual event which is held in fall when Jeju’s nature is at its best. 2018 FESTIVAL will take place on Nov. 1 ~ 2, in Jeju's most beautiful season of fall. It's a festival that keeps you going, walking one trail course a day and enjoying the culture, arts, performance as well as a variety of local yummy foods. More than 10,000 participants are expected to come this year from all around the world. We will be the only group representing Singapore. The festival is also joined by volunteers, local residents who offer unique experiences, foods and outstanding performers in celebration of the great Nature of Jeju.
During the festival, each village along the walking course greets participants with delicious local food and a colorful array of traditional performances. We will walk to a pre-selected village where the villagers will cook our lunch. Participants will complete one Jeju Olle course each day of the festival and experience diverse cultural events as they travel.
Our Day 1 will be the opening ceremony followed by selected Olle route. Day 2 will be a different yet scenic route.


Highlight #2:
Baekyangsa Temple Stay & Hike through Naejangsan National Park
Founded in 632 A.D, Baekyangsa Temple (백양사) is located within Naejangsan National Park (내장산국립공원) => The Best mountain in Korea for viewing autumn’s crimson leaves. The walk up to the temple is one of the prettiest you’ll see at Korea temple. As you make your way towards the temple grounds, large red maples lead the way. You’ll pass by a dammed off area of a stream that flows down from the Naejangsan mountain peaks. The combination of the mountain and valleys on both sides creates beautiful scenery. Nature reveals its beauty throughout all seasons here especially the red maple leaves during the fall. The name Naejang means 'many secrets' in the mountain. Because of the bright crimson leaves that blanket Naejangsan Mountain’s fall scenery, the mountain is also referred to as "Geumgangsan of Honam." When we are not hiking, we'll have immerse cultural learning like organic vegetarian cooking, personal time in the temple nature areas, harvesting of temple organic produces and many Zen ways.
In Nov; the whole mountain may be on fire with the crimson colors of the fall foliage, but Baekyangsa stands quietly there, as it always has. You can stand there all day looking at the scenery, and never grow tired of it. We will be calling this place home for 3 nights as we explore few hiking routes in Naejangsan National Park. Our pack lunch will be freshly cooked by the temple chef. On your own; you can explore : sunrise yoga, morning walk etc.
Autumn in Korea also offers stunning views of the brilliant fall colors, and one of the most popular foliage viewing spots is Naejangsan National Park. Naejangsan National Park is particularly famous for its vivid crimson autumn foliage, 600-year-old nutmeg trees and its 2 famous temple : Baekyangsa Temple and Naejangsa Temple.
The tree-lined path from the Hiking Information Center to Baekyangsa Temple is very popular for its breathtaking canopy of colorful autumn leaves!
In Autumn, Baekyangsa Temple has it own festival displaying many varieties of flowers & Vegetarian foods.

01 Nov : Jeju Olle festival opening ceremony followed by selected Olle route
02 Nov : Jeju Olle continues
03 Nov : Jeju fly to Baekyangsa Temple

05 Nov : Drive up to Seoul
06 Nov : Last minute shopping & transfer to airport
